Glycans at the endometrial cell surface
Figure 2.

Binding of the Dolichos biflorus agglutinin (DBA) to endometrial apical luminal epithelium. Tissues were at
(a) proliferative,
(b) early secretory,
(c) mid secretory,
(d) mid-late secretory,
(e) late secretory phase.
Binding in the lumnal epithelium appears (d) at the end of the receptive window, approximately 9-10 days after ovulation. In glandular epithelium, DBA binding is also regulated, but the increase occurs earlier, in the mid secretory phase of the cycle (Jones et al.,1998).
